It seems like all of 2023 the Huskies have been underestimated. Once again, they’re underdogs and that suits them fine.
The No. 2 Washington Huskies carry a national-best 21-game winning streak into Monday night’s College Football Playoff national championship game against No. 1 Michigan in Houston, yet Washington is currently a 5-point underdog. Perhaps that’s where the Huskies want to be, as they are 5-0 straight up as underdogs under second-year coach Kalen DeBoer. There have been teams that have dominated every game and have had all the best players. Not so with the Huskies, they have won in so many different ways that every player has the potential to step in and make the difference no matter what challenges they face during the game. In short, “They Find A Way”. Of course, they will have to play their best and they do have star players that can dominate at their positions, yet this is a working man’s team and the team as a whole always seems to find the right tool in their toolbox to finish the job. Getting through the PAC 12 undefeated is enough to temper any team with the fortitude to win against any opponent no matter what the analyst and naysayers predict. Huskies over the Wolverines 31-27.
