One night in the Coliseum a new look Trojan Offense showed some life

Newly hired Offensive Coordinator Graham Harrell has implemented a form of the Air Raid which might work with USC’s gifted receivers. Add a backup freshman quarterback with accuracy and a quick release, for one game at least against No. 23 Stanford it looked like an offense capable of moving the ball. The defense did its job against an albeit Stanford offense which had its own backup quarterback and an Offensive Line that did not dominate as you would expect from a Stanford Offensive Line. Maybe this game was a fluke and the Trojans 45-20 win was nothing more than a better team defeating an overrated opponent. We should know soon though as the next three games are against BYU, Utah, and Washington. For one night though the Trojans looked like a team that can compete in a PAC 12 conference that looks to once again not have the strength to make the playoffs.
